Use this CD for any acoustic ritual, specially for club activities and/or exquisite relaxation!" Genetic druGs is you audiopharmaceutical travel agent, a producer and remixer in the digital world music field. He works with video performance and installations and is a professional collector of audio material since 1982, when he was sitting in his room listening to sounds from a short wave radio. Years later he made trips to India, Nepal, Benin, Ghana, Mali, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast and Brazil, equipped with video and audio tools, travelled and met local folks and musicians from different social heritages. Since 1998 he is also a Radio DJ. In the show CYBERJAM on Radio MultiKulti in Berlin, he plays club music mixed with found audio objects., like vocals from all around the globe, strange voices, beats, sounds and original recordings from his archive. The first CD release from this show, entitled "Drum & Tribe - Cyberjam ASIAN BREAKBEATS", shows the variety of Asian fusion styles, including artists like Ananda Shankar, Asian Dub Foundation, Badmarsh & Shri, Recycler, Nitin Sawhney, Mo Magic, Joi, GesE and Usman. Together with his production partner Jasmon (a.k.a. Lemongrass) they added two of their own mixes: "Chidambaram" and "Lost Frequencies". The second volume was released in 2001 - "Drum & Tribe - Cyberjam AFRICAN BREAKBEATS". On this edition you'll hear a selection with Issa Bagayogo, Foday Musa Suso, The Rootsman, African Head Charge, PACT, Recycler, Lobi Traore, pops Mohamed, RSL & Ladysmith Black Mombazo, Acid Queen and Colourfields. Genetic druGs & Jasmon contributedthree tracks: "Encore Pitiyanman", "Remove (feat. Prophet Abbam)" and "Song For Sidi Niaye". Jasmon is a professional musician and producer. Addicted to the beat since he was three, he's not able and not willing to quit this life long addiction. His various releases show all effects and side effects of his talents. The CD "SPACECAKE" by Genetic druGs & Jasmon is the result of their collaboration. As very special guests on "SPACECAKE" they'd like to introduce you to Mohamed Mounir (Egypt's number one Pop Star) as their guest singer on two tracks: "Washri" and "Fi Eshk El Banat", and Howard Marks (a.k.a. Mr. Nice) with a speech from "The Egyptian Delegate" at the Anti-Drug Conference in Cairo in 1926. "We'd like to encourage all of you to go out and make your own experiences. Find any place to start. This planet is big and colorful. You'll find your subject maybe around the corner. A lifetime adventure is waiting for you. If you enter strange cultures, you'll discover new aspects of your self in social interaction. That's the key! And it's curiosity that keeps us moving on."
