"Although she has had some so-so recordings, here Gal Costa is as good as she can be and has ever been. A must for Jobim lovers too. Not even Tom (Antonio Carlos) can do his owns songs better than Gal. BRAVO and "obrigado" Gal."

"I fell in love with Brazilian music about four years ago. Since that time, I have purchased about 50 CDs of Brazilian music. "Canta Jobim" is my favorite, by far. When I first heard this CD, I was so in love with it, I could hardly listen to anything else for months, and I am not normally an obsessive person. I bought the DVD of this concert even before I had a DVD player! More than two years later, I still listen to it regularly and I have shared it with people I care about. I adore Gal Costa and have several other of her CDs, which I enjoy, but this is the best. I also have many other CDs of Jobim music, and this is the best. This features a superb singer at her peak, accompanied by a competent group of musicians, performing superlative material. If you love Brazilian music, this CD will not disappoint.
