Synopsis

Amazon.com
On the double-CD Hed Phone Sex, Funky Porcini and company have created a funked-up mixture of trippy soundtrack beats and sexy loops. "King Ashabanapa Pt. 1 & 2" will fire up your pheromones with a double wam-bam-thank-you-mam of erotic beats and sultry flowing rhythms. The slow breaking passion doesn't stop there, with a kinky, full-throttle, bonus remix by Plaid and an additional Porcini mix on the second disk. Cuts like "The Softest Thing in the World" (Motorway Accident), "Something Wonderful," and "Hyde Park" will push even the very frigid into the throws of passion. --Daniel Shumate

CD Reviews

An incredible album
R. Armstrong | 06/26/1999
(5 out of 5 stars)

"The slow, sexy background music kind of reminds me of some of Prince's best slow music from a while back, and the samples range from catchy to hilarious ("I go down to the basement, where nude and lingerie-clad models are holding a poseathon!").This is great music to really listen to, great background music, and (in case the Amazon review didn't make this clear) perfect music to have sex to."
Sleaze-bient
R. Armstrong | 05/15/1998
(4 out of 5 stars)

"Here's the Big Beat with a sexy twist - the samples have been taken from a variety of sexually-oriented (though never explicit, exactly) sources. What we get is a smart, funny jibe at the commercializtion of sex. Some tracks are just plain hysterical, with sampled voices pining for "four big rednecks;" others are more musical and trippy, like "Dubble." This is a great collection of beaty ambient pieces, with a universal theme. Try it."
