CD Reviews

Amazing! Thoughtfully blended and well produced!
B. T. Denyer | Midwest, United States | 02/18/2006
(5 out of 5 stars)

"When I first put this CD on I thought, Oh great, another crying-into-the-microphone band. BUT IT ISN'T!

Layers of sound bites, news clips, and other spoken-word treasures have been used in place of lyrics to convey the message. And just what IS the message? One reviewer claims it is 9/11. Too obvious (I mean, the CD opens up with a sound bite from the news on that day.) You need to add all of the clips together to understand the overall meaning behind 'The impossible leap...', and you can figure out just what that is on your own. Much like a Jackson Pollock painting -- it's all there for you to see -- you take away from it what YOU feel, not what someone else thinks/says/claims.

Each song would be so difficult to nail down; all I can say is there are many many genres here, so I'll just quote the band: "Highly influenced by the likes of Fugazi to Tortoise, Afrika Bambata to DJ Shadow, Don Caballero to Godspeed You Black Emperor, [we challenge] the audience with epic compositions that abandon conventional song structure." Hmmm, well put.

Buy this CD, you will not be disappointed!"
Awesome Piece of Prog-Rock!

"THis is a kick ass mix of sound clips and aggressive rock that puts popular music to shame. Pick it up you won't regret it. I bought it without knowing anything about these guys but they rock, kind of like mogwai if you like them."
