CD Reviews

Folk with mirth, musicianship and messages
Matt G. Leger | Atlanta, GA United States | 09/18/2003
(5 out of 5 stars)

"These four men (pun very much intended) performed together through most of the 1990s and are still performing minus their founder and chief composer, Roy Zimmerman (who decided being home for his wife and kids was more important than musical success). They look and sound like the mutant offspring of the Chad Mitchell Trio and Tom Lehrer (they even have Mr. Lehrer's endorsement on the cover of their first CD). Their voices are grand, their performing is tight and their songs still hold up well even years after their subjects have faded from the headlines (well, some of them anyhow). You gotta get this!"
Three Strikes and You're Out!
Johnny Heering | Bethel, CT United States | 03/12/2004
(3 out of 5 stars)

"The Foremen were(are?) a folk group that played political satire songs. This is their second and last album. Their previous album was great, but this one is a big letdown. It just isn't very funny. I don't know what went wrong here, but it just doesn't click. Not recommended."
