CD Reviews

A brilliant debut album
A. Macphee | Inverness | 03/07/2001

"I have been a FYC fan since the get go. Their music is just so soothing. Roland Gift's voice is great. You can really feel the passion that he puts into it.The songs are great, in particular, "Johnny Come Home", the cover of "Suspicious Minds"(With Jimmy Sommerville[Bronski Beat/The Communards] assisting on vocals) and "Blue", along with the remixes of "Johnny" and Suspicious Minds".Definitely one of the better things to come out of the eighties"
WAIT JUST A MINUTE!!!
Scott C Elliott | New York City, NY | 02/05/2003

"... This is a great album, albeit very different from the big hit album "The Raw & the Cooked". "Johnny Come Home" was a huge club hit if you were cool enough to go out and party then (in the cool clubs, of course). And "Blue" is a crooner classic in the 80's for those rare times you slow-danced. I'll not give any other details except to say that this band disappeared too early. And maybe the radio played "She Drives Me Crazy " & "Good Thing" way too much, causing people to ignore their other great songs. Too bad. I heard Roland Gift was in the studio, so look out for something to pop!! ..."
