"How can you not like fiddler on the roof, its a classic, its amazing, as are the songs and topol himself. You can not get a version of fiddler on the roof, that doesn't have topol in it, i mean he is fiddler on the roof, without him you've been coned, its not fiddler..... This CD is the best version i've ever heard, and believe me i hear it a lot."

A fiddler on the roof, sounds crazy, no?

"this is a really good cd to model one's performance on if performing in a production of the hit musical. all the main songs are on this CD except "the rumor" and "chava ballet(little bird)." topol is amazing as the charismatic tevye. his voice and ununciations are a lot better than zero mostelle's. a while ago, my high school did fiddler on the roof, and at first the guy playing tevye modeled his voice after zero mostelle and it sounded like crap, but once he got this version, his performance was really good. plus, this musical is really good. the music may take a little while to get used to, but it is awesome after a few weeks of steady listening."
