CD Reviews

Fantastic New Album!
04/21/2004
(5 out of 5 stars)

"A fantastic new album from this 80's star, F.R. David. The updated versions of "Words", "Pick Up The Phone", "I Need You", and "Sahara Nights" are excellent. You'll also enjoy his other new songs, including "I'm Not In Love" and "Everywhere I Go". There are also 4 bonus songs from his first LP - all original versions that you'll love!"
Great 80's pop. Great 90's remixes.

"I bought this CD for one reason--the song WORDS. It's the only song I knew so I figured that since this CD has both the original and 2 other remixes, those were extra bonuses for me. Like many one hit wonders, buying a CD can almost be excruciating because you're spending all this money for only one song with a whole bunch of other songs in the way.Knowing only one of his songs, I figured that the rest would be disposable...until I received the CD. Because most of this CD is comprised of remixes, I'm not sure how the originals sounded. There are 4 original versions of songs on this CD, though. I really like his songs.Usually with remix albums, songs turn into techno junk where you can't really understand the song and it loses the originalitya nd integrity of the original song. Even though I have never heard the original songs of the rest of these songs, the remixes sound like they can be released as is and not sound strange. F.R. David did a wonderful job with the remixes. They all have a great beat and you can still sing to them! So, did he accomplish well on his 2 different remixes of WORDS? An absolute yes! The original is a great ballad. The remixes have kept with the integrity of the songs but with a more dance-able beat. He didn't [destroy] the song like many artists do when they remix songs for a bigger project. So, I gave this CD 5 stars. It truly deserves it and deserves to be heard."
