Synopsis

Album Description
On their third full-length, Ester Drang catapult even further into their patented synth-dripped rhythms, throbbing percussion, rising horns, and post-grazer grandeur, having as much in common with Brian Eno's mournful drone as they do The Notwist's passionate textures. A beautiful ensemble of tracks that prove songs not only have the power to elevate or to infiltrate, but when properly strung together, can be as transcendent as they are moving.

CD Reviews

This album took many listens for me to elevate it to five st

"I only liked this album when I first heard it, I wasn't sure how to compare it to the rest of Drang's albums, but now I can say after many listens it is definitely their best and not only their best but possibly the best album thus far in 2006. There are so many layers of gorgeous instrumentation going on it takes many listens for the brain to assimilate it all. They lyrics are delivered with such emotion and yet seem to integrate almost as another instrument into the music. McCallister's drumming is compelling as aways and the outros to a Hooker With a Heart of Gold and Come Back Alive will take your breath away. 10/10"
Almost perfect record

"This record is Ester Drang's third full length, and the second for Jade Tree. If you haven't heard Ester Drang before, any of their albums is a great place to start, because they are all so different, yet all so good. If you have listened to them, do not compare this to their other records. They all need a few listens to realize how good they are. Goldenwest is indie goodness, Infinte Keys is very chill, and a bit more experinmental, this is a great mix of the two, but some sounds you surely won't recognize. This band is maturing very nicely. Do yourself a favor and sample this record."
