As fresh as the day it was recorded

"Originally recorded in the winter of 1995-96, this disc was a big budget recording for Warner Bros., a single had even been issued in advance of the album's release. Without warning, the album was shelved by a record company CEO who didn't understand that not every song is intended to be a Top 40 pop hit.
Finally released after 7 years in a vault somewhere, the album sounds as fresh today as it did in 1996. Featuring Kathryn Roberts, Sean Lakeman, and then-band members Cara Dillon, Sam & Seth Lakeman, the twin female vocals mesh perfectly with the richness of the instrumentation. The fusion of traditional British folk music with pop influences is infectious.
If you're a fan of Cara Dillon's solo work, Equation's recent recordings, or even the more traditional folk discs of Kathryn Roberts & Sean Lakeman as a duo, check out this album. (Hear clips at Equation's website equation.fm)
