"Alright! I've been a Spring Heeled Jack listener for quite a while. If you were to play this to me for the first time, I would have told you that it's about time SHJ came out with a new album. It's almost like a combo of "static world view" and "songs from suburbia." anyways, as far as Edna's Goldfish, they ROCK! Their lyrics and vocals are awesome. The horn section is sweet! And the guitar does it just right along with a nice poppy beat. Great songs are "i'm your density" "sunrise to sunset" "If you want it" "purple" now don't think i'm throwing all my eggs in one basket here, but seriously, Edna's GoldFish is a REALLY GOOD band!...and, that's all. bye."

"After seeing Edna's Goldfish in concert, I was instantly hooked. After being stuck so long in punk rock limbo, this great NYC ska band was a breath of fresh air. I bought both CD's and can't wait for the next one to come out! If they ever play near you, make sure you catch the show; they're amazing! Who ever Edna is, I'm sure she's very proud of her goldfish!"

"I was shocked this was the first release from this band... they have a really great sound and an even better live show. If you are a fan of SHJ, and other bands like them, you'd be out of your mind not to buy this CD."

"this is a really really great cd. its extremely hard to find for a reasonable price, but whatever you get it for it is well worth it. the horns in this band are really complex and catchy and that really makes up for some extremely simple ska-guitar and bass lines. the lyrics are lacking, also, however, most of them are about some sort of lost love that seems a little too out there for a ska band such as this. oh and i would recommend their 2nd cd too, its not as good and the style is COMPLETELY different, but its cheaper and generally easier to find. my favorites on this cd are "im your density", pretty much a typical catchy ska song, "this is not here", a catchy song with some of the better lyrics and instrumentals, and "trace your steps", which is a really fast song with great horns. being in a band myself, i can say that this is a great first cd for a ska band. you wont be disappointed."
