CD Reviews

THE FAB 5 IS BACK. AND WHAT AN ENTRANCE.

"After 23 years the boys are back. I have long awaited the return of Duran Duran. The style of Sunrise shows some dramatic changes in Duran and they are of course well received. The use of the synth. vocals is awesome. Roger and Andy's styles are quickly noticable after 23 years of their absence. After their past flops with out the core group I am glad to see them all together again. We Love you Duran Duran.

Looking forward to my preordered CD and DVD of Astronaut.

"Know it all" is an excellent B side as well."
Duran Duran is back and better than ever!

"AS a longtime Duran Duran fan, I have to admit that over the past 10 years or so I really lost interest in their music. Albums like Pop Trash and Medazzland never really appealed to me, and judging from the sales and reviews from critics, most everyone else in the world felt the same way. The lineup was a shadow of it's former self and it was truly reflected in their music.

Now that the whole band is back together, they have found their groove once again. "(Reach up for the)Sunrise" the first singel of their "Astronaut" LP is an uplifting, upbeat song that shows that these guys never lost it...it just took all of them getting back together to realize it. With Roger Taylor's "Girls on Flim" sounding drum line and Simon's suprisingly straightforward lyrics (remember, this is the guy who had lyrics like "Shake up the picture, the lizard mixture"), this song is sure to be a hit if the radio stations programmers get off their butts and relize that this is not just a one-off song from a nostalgic band, but a great song from a band that has managed to weather the ups and downs of the music industry for over 25 years! Give it a chance...Duran Duran will not let you down!"
Great single!
