A really good, often overlooked album. I'd compare it to Sonic Youth and early Modest Mouse (though they predate the latter by a few years), but there's a unique atmosphere to this album that's all it's own. Stylistically it goes from aggressive noise ("Yard", "Go Driving") to languid beauty ("Shuffle", "Timidity") to just plain bizarre experimentation ("Dream Wagon", which is a couple minutes of an old man and woman reciting nonsensical dialogue, followed by the band playing one bar of music over and over again like a skipping record). It's not for everyone, but if you're looking for something different in 90's indie rock, this is definitely worth seeking out.
