this cd is very calming, i listened to it while working on the computer and almost fell asleep :) no gimmicky waterfalls, birds screeching or insects buzzing, just smooth and soothing. i purchased it for my 84 year old mother to help her fall asleep when she's not feeeling well.

Puts Me Right To Sleep
Mike Smith | 08/07/2005
(5 out of 5 stars)

"They really must have done major research into what makes people enter a relaxed state and then fall asleep, because this one puts me out faster than any of my other relaxation CDs. If you have problems falling asleep, give this album a try. And dream wonderful dreams..."
Works for me

"This CD has helped me fall asleep and also to wake up feeling better. I concur with the other reviewer who said the first song is louder than the others but that doesn't bother me. Set your volume between the first and later songs. The first song should attract your thoughts and energies. The step down in volume on subsequent songs is part of what soothes your body to sleep.

I've also discovered that the CD is great to wake up to--set it to start about 40-45 minutes before you would ordinarily wake. You'll gradually hear the music. I find I start the day calmer and yet alert. Somehow I can get out of bed later but still get to work on time. This was an unexpected benefit."
