"I tought I had already written a review to say the real truth about this album. Didn't I? What a fault!! How can a man give this album a single star? Opinions are sacred, but, you know, in this case I really can' t understand. Did this man consider the line up? Did this man consider carefully the wonderful "almost never before tried" line up of two pianos and a drum? Did this man listen carefully to the majestic interplay of Russ Freeman and André Previn? Do this man know what a drum is, and do this man know who Shelly Manne is? Shelly didn't play a single wrong accent in his whole life! He could make Mickey Mouse swing, and this is not the case, because the two piano players here surely are not little mouses on their instruments. They're two giants !! The album is funny, clever, innovative, couragious, irriverent, delightful, marvellous west coast jazz from the '50's. I can't give this album less than 5 stars.
It gives me continue enjoiment and fun."

"...This is a splendid jazz album from the fifties, full of swing, enjoiment and fire. Three giants for an unconventional setting (two pianos and a drum). André, Russ and Shelly can't do no wrong. Listen to believe.
It's simply wonderful. Can't understand how someone who love jazz and especially west coast jazz wouldn't like it."
