"This is a fairly nice package, but it is not a comprehensive, multi-label career retrospective. Donnie's biggest hits (remake of various Motown hits) were not included."

Probably the greatest falsetto singer in history !

"If you want to hear one of the greatest love songs of 50's R&B buy this cd and listen to "My confession of love" from 1958. One great classic line from the song is " if youre not here by judgement day,I'll know by then you went the other way". Donnie goes on to say that he'd leave heaven just to be with his love. Donnie probably had the most smoothest,melodic, and natural sounding falsettos of any singer. This is the guy that influenced Frankie Valli,Lou Christie,Jimmy Jones,Eddie Holman, and Russel Thomkins Jr. of The Stylistics. If you dig romantic R&B ballads from the late 50's sung by maybe the greatest falsetto singer in the history of Rock&Roll get it in the collection pronto-Oh yeah make sure you dim the lights when you listen to My confession of love."
