"i first heard Desiree on Arsenio Hall - tiny little thing, huge voice. Found the album (vinyl) and loved it for the strength of the ballads - eventually buying it on CD-and thank goodness cuz i have made countless mix cds and continue putting her ballads on them. Her voice is so strong and a range that makes Mariah blush. Literally hitting notes so high, you replay, just to make sure it wasnt an instrument, but her voice. In fact, her voice is an instrument. I saw her perform at a charity event called Diva's simply singing, where she did a "sing off" with Fegie (now of Black Eyed Peas, then of Wild Orchid). It was amazing feeling the fireworks coming out of their voices. I hear Desiree married a Pro Sports figure and perhaps does gospel now. If there were other albums - i would grab them quick! Sing Girl!"

"I PURCHASE THIS C.D. WHEN IT FIRST CAME OUT AND I STILL LISTEN TO IT AS IF I JUST BOUGHT IT YESTERDAY. DESIREE VOCALS ARE INCREDIBLE ON THIS C.D. IF YOU ENJOY THE TRUE VOCAL STRENGTH OF SINGERS SUCH AS; PATTI LABELLE, MARIAH CAREY, AND WHITNEY HOUSTON TO NAME A FEW, THEN THIS IS A C.D. YOU MUST HAVE FOR YOUR COLLECTION!!!! THE BALLADS ON THIS RECORDING ARE TIMELESS."
