"Made in EU in 2000, Serial# 5-28512-2, Playing Time 65:16I don't know of any band that has so many different compilations; this one is, however, a bit out of the ordinary: it covers the career of the band up to Mark IV's "Come Taste The Band" (featuring Tommy Bolin's use of the haunting echoplex on "Comin' Home"), but has NOTHING from the Mark III formation, and also includes the rarely present "Living Wreck" track from "In Rock".It has some of their classics (note the absence of "Smoke On The Water"!) and some less-known tracks (like "Mary Long"). Also interesting are the live versions of "Child In Time" and "Highway Star", taken from the "In Concert" double-album, a refreshing change from the usual "Made In Japan" versions.It's not their best compilation, but it complements other "Best Of" CDs nicely. Unfortunately, no photos, no liner notes; just good music from the 70's, and the only CD I have with a purple tray..."
