CD ReviewsSolid effort from DBC on first collaboration Chuck Utterback | Atlanta, GA USA | 05/18/2001 (4 out of 5 stars) "Bought this CD after hearing the single "At your back" on Album88 in Atlanta. Turns out that single is by far the best song on the CD. After 3 times through the CD, there are 4 or 5 songs that I really like....while there are about 3 songs I find myself skipping everytime. For a first effort, this band is very creative musically with great effects, a very solid sound and wide range of song formats. Consideration of the fact that it's their first collaboration is why I rate it a 4 versus a 3. The weakest aspect to the CD is the lyrics - basically on the level of Depeche Mode cliche's except for an occastional sly phrase. My hope is the band (which I think has much potential) will delve more into the sound of "At your back" in future efforts and sound more like industrial elecontroncia than like Garbage."
