"The Dazz Band's single "Let It Whip" is one of the best R&B songs to simply just turn up and feel the tune. To be frank, if you don't like "Let it Whip" you're either a rhythm deficient meathead or tone deaf. It was released about the same time Rap began its rise in popularity.I'll never forget being at a carnival in Milwaukee (we're talking circa 1983) and watching the spinning amusement ride blare it out of its speakers as the carts whizzed everybody along. The carny just kept playing it over and over as the humidity filled the air and the beat cooled us down. I must have been about thirteen years old, but I'll always remember that introduction to "Let It Whip.""
