CD Reviews

Loved it- special memories for us- best jazz/soul piano

"Got this CD after the movie came out ages ago. Loved it so, we used "Mitch & Abby" for our wedding processional. This is a classy, eclectic CD that will never bore you. Grusin provides amazing depth to his music with his skillful ability at the piano. If only he could do more work improving Hollywood's all-alike-vanilla-sounding soundtracks! Grusin is a master...thanks for the memories!"
Timeless, Unforgetable & Moving!!!

"The music to this sound track was so moving that at the time of it's release I was home schooling our son & I incorporated it into his education at his request. We contacted Dave Gruisin's offices to obtain the sheet music, at the time we were told his sheet music was not available to the public and that he had never published any sheet music for the public, I begged and said we promised it was not for profit and within six months of that conversation, it became avaiable to us through special order through our local music store. We purchased the entire music for "The Firm". Our son learned & played "The Firm", "Blues:The Death of Love & Trust",Mud Island Chase" and "Ray's Blues" at his piano recitals from the age of 12 to 17. Our daughter who is now 12 years old is learning "Ray Blues"."
Great Music-Better than the Movie itself!

"-Worth getting for well-chosen & well-played cuts of wide ranging styles: pop, rock, piano boogie, folk/rock, steel drum. The music is well cast and exceeds the caliber of the film itself. -Movie plot resolution seemed glued on and rushed near the end-but this superb music improved the show throughout-worth getting even if you missed the movie."
