It is in dance that we can find the extremely rare written descriptions of medieval instrumental music that was composed before the appearance of polyphony. The instrumentalists of Millenarium have researched these texts and, using their finds as an incontrovertible base, have reconstituted other dances from songs of various origins. In doing so, they have also rediscovered the gestures of the original players, who had clearly developed a taste for displaying their virtuosity and their power to move the listener.
