Synopsis

Album Description
Born A Lion is the first 'real' Danko Jones album, finally released in the states. With texts so evidently timeless and influenced by the delta-blues heroes and the blues rock trademark coloring the music we would say it could easily be an album produced thirty years ago as well as today. Maybe not with the same furious tempo and minus the technical equipment that is. Features 11 tracks plus an enhanced multimedia portion with a video for the 'Sound Of Love' single, as well as 2 hidden tracks. Simba Music. 2003.

CD Reviews

Solid. Danko Jones is tight and tough.

(4 out of 5 stars)

"I've introduced this band to all my friends and every single one of them thank me. I had a friend that kept putting off listening to them until I finally told him that he would soon be crying. ...Crying because he would soon realize that he wasted a few extra days of his life without listening to this band. Put simply, Danko Jones rocks. I got turned on to Danko Jones after hearing "We Sweat Blood". (If you don't own it, buy it. Now.) Predating "Blood", "Born a Lion" rocks just as hard (although it has a couple of the same songs). This band is extremely tight. The lyrics are smart and often hilarious. Fun Stuff. It's now in heavy rotation in my car's disc player. If you like Rock and Roll and you have a soul, you won't regret picking up this CD."
