"Relaxing music is Solitudes speciality and Dan Gibson is a master at making beautiful music with nature sounds. I have a lot of his collection and I was reluctant to buy this one as it has soft vocal in it. It has turned out to be my favorite. The soft choral background adds to the relaxation effect to my amazement. This is really great for relaxing, massage and I have even used this one driving. All the pieces are slow tempo so you don't have to worry about a fast piece getting tucked in there. I know you will enjoy this one if you try it. Its truly a can't go wrong cd for veg out moments."

"When I first put this in my player I layed down on my massage table so I could experience it from my client's perspective. I didn't want to get up--it's totally relaxing. It's one I don't think I'll get tired of quickly. Beautiful vocals, slow pace and almost what I would call a Polynesian/Fiji lullaby. I now tell my clients to get ready for a Fiji vacation as they drift off. I've had several comments from clients before I even told them anything, telling me how much they really ejoy it. It's a no brainer for those doing relaxing body work...a mini vacation to go."

"April 15, 2007: Aloha From Hawaii and from Polynesia. There aren't many music compilations that make me stop and sit down to listen. This CD was handed to me to evaluate from a friend of mine from the Big Island of Hawaii. When I started to hear the waves in the beginning I said to myself, "oh no, not another one of those ethereal CDs with all the nature sounds and so forth..." Listening to the first strains of the female vocal, I realized this first selection was mesmerizing. I felt hypnotized after the second song and so forth and so on until the end of the CD when I immediately clicked on my "start" button to hear it again.

It's amazing what these Fijians have done with old Christian hymns; they've made them absolutely beautiful. With the rhythm of the waves as well as the slow rocking pulse of the female and back-up voices, the music carries you into relaxation. I tried listening to this CD while driving and when I reached the entrance to my driveway, I didn't go into the house because I wanted to finish listening to the rest of the CD.

Being Polynesian myself, I could understand some of the Fijian lyrics, they're from old hymns; it's the old coming back in a new way to have you floating on beautiful sound. Who said that old hymns were antiquated and anachronistic to play again?!
