"I cannot believe this CD is two years old! Just bought it last week and it has put ALL of my trance collection to shame. This disc starts hard and never lets up, while keeping the music within the trance genre. Absolutely mind blowing. I've spent thousands of dollars building a collection and this disc is all I needed."

""Hard-desert-trance" was the first release for DJ Brian under the moonshine label. He has since released two more in this series alone. This particular CD was released in 1997 well into the underground phase of `Desert Trance.' This album is a great beginning for DJ Brian for all of his other releases. His talent is well known throughout the club and Rave scene. This is what `Desert Trance' is all about. The funky break-beat kicks, the gabber distorted piano, and tracks that you will never hear on the radio, unfortunately. I know that I have said a lot of things about `Desert Trance.' I have received many emails from individuals concerning my reviews. I have heard everything from "I like your thinking" to "What the heck is wrong with you?" For anyone that has ever read any of my other reviews it is obvious that I am a huge fan of `Trance' and Techno. One might also think that since all my reviews give high marks there is not anything `Trance' or Techno that I do not like. That is not the case. I happen to be very picky. I just do not believe in posting negative reviews. If I do not like something than I will not post anything about it at all. Like the old adage states, "If you don't have anything constructive to say than do say anything at all." Well, maybe that is not an exact quote but you get the idea. Still, I invite the feedback because I think these CDs are awesome. This CD is truly fantastic. The best tracks are #6) Cruzeman - Ohm Sessions; funky break-beat at its best, #9) Yelm - Maelstrom; Yelm is the master of `Acid Trance' and this track proves it, and #10) L.S.G. - Netherworld, this is a true `Trance' classic and is one of the single greatest Techno songs ever digitized. On a different note, the fade from track 9 to tack 10 is one of the best that I have heard on any DJ mixed CD. In short, as always, give this a shot if you are into trance or are into DJ Brian. I believe it to be a worthwhile acquisition. But don't just take my word for it... Check it out and tell me if I am right or wrong. :)"
