Trenton reppin'

"Tony D, producer extrodinairre, produced the beats (slammin', the parlance of that era) and raps eloquently (and often humorously). Rahzii does his reggae-ish thing with nice flavor. And the under-rated LA Law blazes on the mic. Plus this album features a guest appearance by fellow 609er Be-Fyne. Hopefully, this review will prompt search engines to point to this page because this collective is CRIMINALLY SLEPT ON and this record is a MASTERPIECE. New Jerus (and Trenton specifically) was a fertile ground for consciousness MCs (and funky beats for days) back in the late 80s and early 90s (YZ, Poor Righteous Teachers, etc). Tony D was the sonic element behind that scene and that whole sound. I only hope that some day, a brave record company will release a multi-disc career retrospective of his productions."
