"Eight of these tracks were issued on a 2-CD set from the same company (Europe1/RTE/Trema), paired with a concert from 5 May 1962. However, this version has a different version of "Shiny Stockings" with a particularly inventive Thad Jones solo, along with 13 additional tracks (5 featuring Joe Williams). Sound quality is slightly better than that other issue, so it's still worth picking this one up. This is a great line-up: Snooky Young, Joe Newman, Al Grey, and the two Franks, with Billy Mitchell (in for Lockjaw Davis)."
