Not The Usual Connie Francis Hits - Refreshing
02/02/1999
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Connie's Volume 2 of hits contains tracks out of the ordinary million sellers usually heard. There are excellent tracks on this CD. I Was Such A Fool is one of her best - listen to the intonations and emphatics! For Mama is a 1965 release that many recorded, but only Connie did it justice. Malaguena and Time Alone Will Tell reflect her passion and excitement. Connie handles all of the tracks in her usual signature manner."
Not for everyone
Terry D. Robertson | 03/09/1999
(2 out of 5 stars)

"An odd assortment of Connie Fracis recordings spanning 1960-1967. This set contains some chart hits as well as obscure recordings that may not interest the casual fan. This highlights the "champagne" Connie which appealed mostly to her adult following. Not focused enough to be an effective overview as the title might suggest. If you want the big hits, see the first volume."
A REAL KNOCKOUT CD!!!!
Gerald T. Joyce | White Bear Lake, MN USA | 09/04/2003

"I have hundreds of CDs by hundreds of artists. If I had to relinquish all but one, this is the one I would keep. You may as well remove your socks before listening, cuz Connie's gonna knock 'em off anyway. There's a few of her standard top forty hits included, but the real magic and power comes in her renditions of the Italian love songs. You'll never hear a bigger, more powerful voice. And there's still plenty of the wistful Connie when she sings about Mama. She's truly one of our great American treasures."
