Let's All Have a Party....Southern Style!

"Once again Confederate Railroad gives us traditional country bar stoolers something to cut a rug with. The Rockin Country Party Pack draws from all of CRR's previous albums throwing in a few dance remixes and one new tune just for fun. This is the kind of music that you can kick back and have a shot and a shout too. CRR has defied all attempts by the "New Country" big wigs to define them. Political correctness means nothing to these guys they are in your face with songs like I Am Just a Rebel, I Hate Rap, Trashy Women and Toss a Little Bone. But even displaying this much attitude does not preclude them from softening with their always tender Jesus and Mama and Daddy Never Was A Cadilac Kind. The only drawback to this walk down CRR memory lane is the timing. There were a lot of problems getting their last CD, Keep on Rockin, released and perhaps it was lackluster sales of that title that prompted CRR to put out this release which is simply another Greatest Hits entry. As country music becomes overpopulated with has been rock and rollers, one hit wonders, and crossover queens, groups like CRR with traditional honky tonk sound and a we-do-things-our-way mentality are finding it harder and harder to be heard on radio which hurts sales and contributes to fewer new releases. I only hope that the boys will take some time off the road now and get some new material burned for a new CD to keep the bar dance fires burning."

"Confederate Railroad is truly an awesome group. They really know how to toss it in a bucket and blend it together without coming up with mud. My favorite song was definitely I Hate Rap. This is one of those things you just cannot live without."

"I heard one of the songs on my radio station and knew I had to have this cd. I finally found out who had recorded it and finally found it and I am completely happy with the whole cd. I love it. I might be an old grandma, but I still feel like I did years ago.I would love to hear more of their recordings even tho they are an older band, they are great!"
