"Propulsive but controlled (live) Arrau performance in very good sound, from the same era as his great Liszt concerto recording with Ormandy. Absolutely outstanding in every respect. The Rubinstein performance, which makes up the second half of this disc, suffers from thin sound & the pianist plays too fast. His performance on RCA from the late 50's is definitive. This disc still merits 5 stars based on the Arrau Schumann."
