The first complete recording of the Lieder composed by Franz Liszt! Through 2011, Liszt's 200th anniversary, Marsyas will record all of his Lieder for release on six CDs. Each will feature the most important piano accompanist of our times, Charles Spencer. Part one features the celebrated baritone Adrian Eröd. Born in Vienna, Eröd has received the Eberhard-Waechter-Medal for his outstanding performances of Billy Budd and Count Almaviva. As a concert singer, Eröd has sung under Sir Simon Rattle with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, and under both Riccardo Muti and Helmuth Rilling with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra.
