The 8 cuts included here are masterful, contemporary interpretations of well-known tangos, impeccably performed by Estela Raval, the group's lead voice, with sweeping, elegant arrangements using massed strings and typical instruments of the genre. Her heartfelt rendition of El Dia Que Me Quieras (The Day You'll Love Me) written by Carlos Gardel has moved me to tears in more than one occasion, being one of the greatest love songs ever written in any language (equalled only by Edith Piaf's Hymn To Love in its original French version). For those who are intrigued by Tango music, this CD is a perfect introduction. It presents this music in an accessible setting, performed with beauty and honesty by one of Latin America's greatest voices."
