The great composer Frederic Chopin (1810-1849) was known as the "Poet of the Piano." This recording is a selection of some of his most beloved works, all of which demand equal attention to the characteristic singing melodic line, the soulful harmonies, and the demanding technical challenges. The young American pianist Elizabeth Borowksky, a four-time recipient of the Chopin Foundation of teh United States' Scholarship for Young Pianists, impressively demonstrates her outstanding talent and mature interpretations of Chopin's works. This album was recorded in Warsaw, Poland, in October 2005, while Elizabeth was in Poland as a US representative in the 2005 International Chopin Competition.
