Omaha residents, Cher & Gene Klosner (KLOZE-ner), a sister-brother, singer-songwriter duo, have been performing their signature harmony-driven acoustic sound across the United States for many years. Their rich, intricate vocal sound has been described as audible chocolate. Performance highlights include World Youth Day, with Pope John Paul II, President Clinton and a half a million teens from around the world (which led to their CD, Denver), The Grand Ole Opry, National Anthem performances (2007-08 College World Series; 2008 US Olympic Swim Trials), the 6-city Autumn Festival and Spring Festival tours, and many 9/11 tribute events in New York and L.A. In addition to performances at music festivals and colleges, Cher and Gene have been heard on radio stations, jingles, and on various television and animation shorts produced by Cher s husband, Emmy-award-winning The Simpsons animator/Assistant Director, Ben Lane. Their song "Please Don't Send Me Fruitcake," from their Christmas album, Ribbons and Pine, was featured on the nationally syndicated Dr. Demento radio show, and was recorded by The von Trapp Children, along with Cher's "All I'll Ask This Christmas. "...Fruitcake" has been performed by several symphonies, including the Omaha Symphony, the Atlanta Symphony, the Minnesota Symphony, and the Cincinnati Symphony, conducted by the legendary Erich Kunzel. Cher and Gene were commissioned by The United in Memory Foundation to compose a song for the unveiling of the United in Memory 9/11 Memorial Quilt, which took place aboard the Queen Mary in Long Beach, California. The resulting song, Tower of Love, was also performed in New York on the 2nd and 3rd anniversaries of 9/11 at the opening ceremonies of the United in Memory 9/11 Memorial Quilt display. The song is available as a free download on their website. "Tower of Love" has since been used in many 9/11 memorial tributes. They also visited over 100 churches, introducing their contemporary liturgy/worship music (Light the Fire! Music), inspiring their 3rd album, a sacred collection, Sunday. They've also begun recording a singer/songwriter collection and a 2nd Christmas collection, featuring "I Am a Carpenter."

CD Reviews

Highly Recommended
Stacy A. Fuller | 09/30/2008

"I highly recommend Stardust Lullaby as a shower gift and for your own children. I often find myself listening to this CD by myself in the middle of the day because of its genuinely soothing and calming nature.

Most nights I will turn the music on low a half an hour before my children's bedtime for a deliberate wind down to the day. This is the best lullaby CD that I have found, and by far the best shower gift that I have ever received."
Absolutely Beautiful!

"I am a mother of 3 children who all have a very hard time settling down at night. I looked everywhere to find a solution and Stardust is it! There is a wonderful variety of songs and I enjoy listening to it just as much as they do! Absolutely beautiful!"
