Excellent CD by two very fine musicians

"I found this CD by attending a Community Concert by Saarinen and DuBois. It was one of those evenings where the synergy between the performers and the audience was electric. The CD is a very good representation of what I heard in the concert. It was taped in 1998 in Toronto, where the artists are based. The CD contains some beautiful and unusual songs which I had never heard, as well as many favorites. Gloria Saarinen studied with Alfred Cortot and Guido Agosti, and DuBois studied with Peter Pears, and their musicality reflects it. This is a class act."
