"Cesti was a outstanding in italy baroque history, especial on his cantatas and opera composition. Rene Jacobs performed well with beautiful melody. It's fully shows typical bel canto of italy cantata, we could also find these similar characteristics in A. Scarlatti, Vivaldi and Handel's music.

If you loved the italy baroque music, i believe you wouldn't be disappointed in this disc."
