Can't Get Enough of Moonlight Serenade

"Everthing is wonderful about this album--beginning with Carly's selection of songs. The arrangements and her styling make for beautiful listening. It seems impossible to tire of this CD. We also enjoyed the interview with Carly about the making of this album. She and Richard Perry have created a masterpiece! The DVD of Carly peforming on the Queen Mary 2 with many of the songs from this album plus a few of her greatest hits, is equally as good. Carly's voice is perfectly suited to the music. I enjoy her music whether she is singing standards or songs she has written."
Carly's Voice in Sublime Form Again, thanks to Richard Perry

"I heard "I've Got You Under My Skin" on [...] a couple weeks ago, and was blown away..had to know what album it was on, i knew it was Carly right away. I realized the best version of that particular song was by Frank, but this i hadn't yet heard anyone use Carly's low register to such hypnotic effect. So i ordered the dual disc and am just captivated by every song and performance. The key here -- as written by other critics -- is how Perry is able to spotlight her voice and make it sound enigmatic and sensual again, not SHAKY and tired as she has on recent recordings. I'm in AWE....i thought her best days were over. My first thought when i heard "IGYUMS" was -- this is the best she's sounded since the Bond theme, ironically one of the last times she and Perry worked together. I hope the two of them don't wait another 33 years! Best song imo: "All The Things You Are" Can't get the melody and her voice out of my mind! And the documentary on the dvd side is worth watching, i really enjoyed it, even the cheesy lip syncing!"
