"The Struggle is way better than Cappa's second album, The Yin & The Yang (his worst to date), but not better than his debut, The Pillage (his best to date). It is released on Code:Red Entertainment, which is Wu-affiliate Remedy's label, due to the fact that Cappadonna and RZA had a falling out because of a misunderstanding over Cappadonna's Yin & Yang album and some money issues. (RZA and U-God had a similar problem in 2004. U-God though, was signed to RZA's Wu-Tang Records distributed by Priority Records and Cappa was signed to RZA and his brother Divine's Razor-Sharp Records distributed by Epic Records. Both labels shut down in 2001 and then RZA launched 36 Records through LOUD Records, which also shut down due to the fact that LOUD went out of business. Currently, RZA is head of WU Records, distributed by independent label Sanctuary Records.) Even though Cappa was at odds with RZA and Wu-Tang Productions, he stayed in contact with a few Wu-Tangers like Raekwon and Inspectah Deck, who both contributed to The Struggle. Other guest include Longer Lo (Cappa's little brother), Solomon Child (who debuted on Cappa's The Pillage under tha name Killa Bamz) and Code:Red Entertainment label head, Jewish MC Remedy. At this point, Cappa was living The Struggle, as reports state that he was in the hood driving cabs for a living. Cappa is currently doing much better these days as he was invited by Ghostface to join his Theodore Unit (See Theodore Unit), and joined Ghost and the rest of Wu-Tang on their reunion tour this past summer in California, which was the last time fans got to see O.D.B. perform. (R.I.P.). Cappa and RZA apperently resolved their problems as they shared the stage shoulder to shoulder. (See Wu-Tang's Disciples Of The 36 Chambers DVD and CD)."

"For all of you that thought cap was done after he put out the yin and yang album(which was pretty much garbage) he proves all of you wrong. The struggle is bangin from start to finish even the bonus tracks are nice. Most of the cd is produced by cap and remedy. They both have close ties to the wu-tang clan, but there is no rza production. Inspecta Deck and Reakwon are featured on the album which makes for a nice addition to the record. If you liked cappadonna on the pillage or his work with the wu you will fully enjoy this album"

"Now that I have this album I want to give it a proper review:
This album is so average that only really hardcore fans of Cappadonna should bother. That's why I bought the CD, but nothing blew my mind. The lyrics are average, the beats are average, everything you've heard before. I do like the song "Mama" and "Do It" but other than that it's not good or bad, just the same ol' average that you hear on the crappy radio every day."
