CD ReviewsA Must for Anybody Without the Full Candlebox Collection NiTRO | 06/01/2006 (4 out of 5 stars) "As 'Best Of' albums go, this is definitely an excellent one to pick up especially if you don't already have all of Candlebox's previous material. But, I suppose that goes without saying. This is a solid career spanning collection but it's too bad that there wasn't a B-side, live track, remixed/alternate version or something unique to entice the true fans of the band to jump on board and pick this up in spite of already having most of the songs on this set - and for this, the collection gets 4 stars instead of 5. They did include the song "Glowing Soul" which is a solid up-beat track which was previously released on the soundtrack for The Waterboy. For the casual fan however, this release has all of the essential Candlebox material and some of the lesser known yet still outstanding material from thier last album Happy Pills. The good news is that none of the songs on the album are radio edits or shortened versions which are so common on greatest hits collections. This is absolutely worth the price of admission! I'm psyched to see that Candlebox is touring with the original lineup in support of this album! Their live show should not be missed!" All I knew was that the songs were good and I'd take candlebox over pearl jam and soundgarden any day! this best of compilation is the perfect reminder of just how good candlebox's music STILL is. It also is a bit surprising how the band even got a best of cd being the fact that they really only had two big songs: you and far behind. But whatever, I still appreciate this and anyone else should as well."
