One Good Ep

"This ep is excellent. The only bad thing about it is that it's only an ep. California Snow Story have the sound of a 60's pop group crossed with the Smiths. It's a very refreshing album, and there isn't a single bad note on any of the tracks. The guitar, drum, bass and vocals are all excellent. The bass lines on the tracks stand out, as one gets a feel that they are so cared for, they could easily be on a Serge Gainsbourg track, and the guitar lines sound like they could be from Johnny Marr. Also, the vocal talents of David Skirving are fully demonstrated on this ep, his voice has both warmth and innocence, and gives the ep a melancholy feel. I would recommend this album to fans of the Smiths, The Pastels, Belle and Sebastian, The Beach Boys and of course, Camera Obscura."
