How could he be KISSED off ?

"The most technically gifted and longest tenured lead guitarist in KISSTORY, Bruce offers up perhaps THE greatest guitar playing beginning to end on an album that I have ever heard. Track 1-"Pair of Dice" is undoubtedly, THE best rock guitar instrumental that I have ever heard ! Track 2-"Strange to ME" is a feel good rocker with signiture vocals much like from Ace Frehley's solo album. Track 3-"Change is Coming" is a heavy rocker similar to those found on the "Carnivol of Souls" sessions. Track 4-"Need Me" rivals the best KISS rocker. Track 5-"I Don't Mind" shows Bruce's versatility. A tremendously strong power ballad whose lilting guitar solo in the middle will remind you of the searing solo in "Still Loving You" by the Scorpions, and give you chills down your spine. Here Bruce proves he has the vocal prowess to take it down a few notches yet still manage to drill down to your soul. Track 4-"Monster Island", the second of the four instrumentals on this album for me comes as close a second as you can to "Pair of Dice" for best guitar instrumental I have ever heard. Simply indescribable. Track 7-"Please Don't Wait". Again Bruce is in fine power ballad mode, with vocals that go right through you. Track 8-"Liar", the third instrumental, is an instrumental that you would swear isn't an instrumental. Each time I hear it I keep waiting for the non-existant lyrics. Probably the weakest of the instrumentals only because the others are so strong. Track 9-"I Can't Take" mood is taken right from the best of the KISS "sex-rockers". Here Bruce, with all the attitude of a Gene Simmons, "just wants to hear you moan". Track 10-"Dogs of Morrison" is for me the weakest track on the album. Again, this is only because of the strenth of this album from beginning to end. Has a catchy infectious chorus that will have you singing along even though you have no idea what this song means. The final track is "Skydome, the last of the instrumental tracks on the album. While not as down and dirty as "Pair of Dice", nor as funky as "Monster Island", "Skydome" is more a guitar journey for the mind. You find yourself closing your eyes and letting this one take you away. This album makes it impossible to wait for Bruce's next solo venture which, according to his website, should be recorded by now. While I don't know how Bruce could come close to topping this album, I know he will provide another brilliant work that will provide pure straight ahead rock that not only is heard by your ears, but felt by your soul."

"well , bruce kulick was already an amazing 6 string
wizard back when he joined KISS in 1984 for the animalize
tour and as the years passed he managed to produce his own
sound , he prooves that he doesn't fall from stariani ,
vai or all the shredders when it comes to intensely played
guitar solos but the thing that he does better is - sounding
diffrent , his wha in 'change is coming' prooves this , his
guitar sound like a roaring lion , powerful and fast , also
the melodic 'liar' is a great insrumental where bruce shows
he can also be calm and soulful.
bruce kulick also plays the bass in all the tracks and sings
in all the songs (there are also four instrumentals included)
this is one of the best recordings ever !!!

"I liked KISS the best by far in the years Bruce Kulick was with them, and right away took an interest in this, his first solo CD. WELL WORTH WAITING FOR!! Fans of cascading, fiery electric guitar will NOT be disappointed, and the acoustic touches are just icing on the cake. The album has a nice mix of rockers, instrumentals and a couple of ballads. Each of the vocal cuts has impressive guitar work that perfectly suits the mood of the song: My favorites are "Strange to Me", "Change is Coming" and the bittersweet "I Don't Mind." The vocal cut that really grows on you, though, is the enigmatic "Dogs of Morrison," which seems to be about how you use your individual perceptions to choose your path in life. But the biggest treats of all are the four pure instrumentals which Bruce wrote by himself. "Pair of Dice" and "Monster Island" are intelligent, hooky progressive rockers, while "Liar" is softer but incredibly expressive. The cut I find myself going to more and more often is the last one, "Skydome," which literally soars from beginning to end - but not without some aggressive, funky, stair-steppy stuff in the middle. BOTTOM LINE: Bruce Kulick is awesomely talented, and his music will blow your mind!"

"I LOVE this CD, this is right there with Joe Satraini's Flying In A Blue Dream and Surfing whit the Alien. I already knew the 4 songs from the EP were great (Pair Of Dice, Strange to Me, Change Is Coming and 495-which is not on the full length CD) 3 of which are on the full length CD. Bruce is one of those special Guitar players who can make his Guitar talk, sing, cry, scream out and wail. He is a complete lead player and more importantly he plays with such emotion. The CD starts off with three of the songs from the EP."Pair of Die" a mid tempo rocker, reminiscent of summer song by Joe Satraini in its feel, it has a beautiful lead that sores throughout the whole song, it sings out in a gentle fashion and then it Bites which some fine shredding then back to the Beautiful lead again; "Strange To Me" Is the first song with Singing, it reminds me of Union. Nice song, love the lyrics, real catchy, the singing style reminds me a little bit of Alice Cooper; I don't mean the sound of his voice, but the style in which he sings it, if you know what I mean. Strange To Me has an excellent lead in it; and "Change is Coming" what a great intro Guitar screeching, and is very powerful. Another song with lyrics and Bruce is a fine Lyric writer. Every song on this CD is catchy. I have now listened to it all the all the way through 100s of times, plus I have a CDR in my car.Next comes "Need Me" and it is da bomb, it rips, good lyrics, well sung, a total rocker, cool lead lick, His Guitar just screams out. "I Don't Mind" is a slower tempo song, it starts off softer and then gets heavy. It has Really nice chorus, and a Beautiful lead. MONSTER ISLAND Just rips, faster tempo, its as good as anything Joe Satraini or Steve Vie (sp) do. Fantastic Leads rifts, great chruchy Chords. "Please Don't wait" is a nice Ballad, Bruce does a good job singing on this one, it also has a nice lead which goes along like the song. "Liar" is a fantastic song, man oh man, Bruce's Guitar is weeping and wailing on this one, it has such a somber, sad, feel, what a great tone he achieves. This song is so moving, there is no need for lyrics, the Guitar tells the whole story. It starts off with a beautiful plaintive lead wail (Hard to put in words you have to experience it, such emotion in his playing) and picks up with some shredding. IT'S Fantastic. Great use of either bending of the strings (or vibrato, foot peddle I don't know I am not technical-just sounds funkin great) toward the 1:30 mark and on. "I Can't Take" is a song in the vain of KISS, it has that same feel in the vocals which Bruce handle well. The Music is way thicker than Kiss though. I would call this one a mid tempo rocker. Good song. The Next Song "Dogs of Morrison" Just rips, its another song with vocals, it is a very heavy song. This song is real catchy, could be an FM Radio hit, if you could get it on the radio (corp. BS). Real Nice Heavy Bass work in this one, nice Chords laces across the bass work, and a real cool lead lick they has some Guitar harmonies as part of it (duel leads). Did I say I love this CD. WHAT a GOD Send Bruce is for GFR (Bruce is now a new member of the great 70s band The Grand Funk Railroad). The Last Song is "Skydome," this is an instrumental and is a great song to end the CD with. Skydome is extremely catchy, and just has "GUITAR GOD" Stamped all over it. Skydome is a Guitar Clinic, cool heavy beat and nice chords. Great shredding and hammer and pulls on this one, Bruce's leads are just wailing again on this one he goes from beautiful to viscous. Great stuff. GET IT"

Must have album for any Bruce Kulick/Curt Cuomo/KISS fan

"Bruce Kulick's solo album, "AudioDog", is Bruce Kulick's best album outside of KISS and a must-have album for any Bruce Kulick/Curt Cuomo/KISS fan. The best instrumental is "Pair of Dice" and the best song with lyrics is "Need Me". Bruce was the lead guitarist for KISS from 1985-1996, and his guitar playing,bass playing, and singing really shine on this album. Curt Cuomo, who has worked with artists such as KISS and Eddie Money, plays keyboards and sings background vocals on this album. So if you're a fan of Bruce Kulick, Curt Cuomo, or KISS, buy this album."
