Marius Stravinsky is Chief Conductor and Artistic Director of the Karelia Philharmonic Orchestra.
As a violinist he attended the Central Moscow Music School from 1985, and in 1989 went to the
Yehudi Menuhin School. He won a top music scholarship to Eton College in 1992. He attended
the Royal Academy of Music and Royal College of Music from 1997 to 2002, and was Assistant
Conductor of the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra until 2004, when he accepted the post of
Resident Conductor of Helikon Opera in Moscow.
