CD ReviewsA good supplement, but not a primary disc 03/04/2000 (4 out of 5 stars) "For Bob Wills fans, this budget CD might be worth adding to the collection--as I did--for some of the tracks that are hard to find elsewhere. Chief among these is "Dusty Skies", which is one of the most beautiful western songs ever written. At the time, I couldn't find it anywhere else, but it is now available on a 28-track CD called "King of Lonestar Swing" that has become my favorite Bob Wills CD, along with "The Essential Bob Wills." Cotton-eyed Joe is also not generally found on Bob Wills CDs, but be warned that you might never get it out of your brain and will be humming it forever. So, a good supplement for the avid collector--worth the price for "Dusty Skies" alone--but not the desert island disc by this great musician. Too many of the classics are missing from this disc to make it the primary choice."
