CD Reviews

Excellent "Modern Day" Blondie!!!! An Excellent CD!!!!
Gary Covington | Louisiana | 03/03/2009

"There have already been plenty of reviews on this one, so I'll just mention a few things. It contains 14 great songs. I really liked the first one "Shakedown", Debbie really gets into this one!!! Other songs I liked include: "Good Boys", "Undone", "Background Melody", "Majic", "End to End", and "Hello Joe". Basically, I liked all the songs, it's great from beginning to end.

Some of these songs are featured on the Blondie "Live by Request" DVD. These songs are "Good Boys", "Undone", "End to End", and "Hello Joe".

Overall, this is a great CD containing 14 great songs, and I highly recommend it. Thanks!!!"
WOW!

"Sonically stunning, danceable, and surprisingly modern sounding, "The Curse of Blondie" is anything but an exercise in futility from an oldies act. Sporting cool, heavy guitar sounds under the plethora of hooks, this record has the rock/disco hybrid we expect from Blondie, but without the slightest retro feel. Even Deborah Harry's vocals are revamped with new harmonies, and surprisingly tough hot chick lyrics. This is their strongest effort since "Eat to the Beat", and it blows the doors off of the comeback album "No Exit". Highly recommended."
Surprise! It's good

"I didn't expect much, but I bought this album out of sheer nostalgia. Listening to the first track I was horrified, and even thought I might have the wrong CD. But then it takes off and...what fun! Blondie is back."
