CD Reviews

Classic Billy Vaughn

(4 out of 5 stars)

"If you were a child of the 50's or a person or couple that were married in the 50's, this cd will bring back some great memories. The Billy Vaughn Orchestra is at it's best with the original DOT recordings. Billy Vaughn passed away in the early 90's but LA PALOMA is one of his great efforts that we can still enjoy. IF YOU LOVED THE POP SOUNDS OF THE 50's this is a must."
LaPaloma

"I was born in 1955 and grew up with Billy Vaughn. He was just as much a part of our household that it was almost like he lived with us. LaPaloma is one of my very favorite albums. I think by far it is the best one he put out. It has catchy tunes and a great rhythm. It's just like you can't hear it enough. I have the "LP" that my folks used to have and haven't listened to it for a while but could listen to it over and over and over. I have never gotten tired of it. In fact, I am going to order the CD so I have a better copy of it. I would very much like to see Amazon.com get more of his albums. We must have owned at least 8 or 9 while growing up and I've kept them all."
Music that warms your heart and senses!!!

"Also have been a Billy Vaughn fan since my pre-teen years (am mid-age now). Agree that this is probably his best selection, but several other albums are also hard to beat. Too bad we are basically held to hearing this great mind and soul-soothing music from personal collections, or on 'elevator-music' radio stations (of which very few exist). This music may be nostalgic, but hey, those were truly 'smelling-the-roses' times! How much can one say that about today - the reason we have this beautiful music to cherish, always!!!"
