'Stand Up and Walk' was Billy's second solo album and followed 'Transportation' (PZLCD101). In this second album Billy makes more use of the natural sounds of the violin, viola and the acoustic grand piano. In his own words he describes the sound as having developed a new more relaxed look at time, spacing and communication of feelings. Billy's skills as a viola and violin player come to the fore in most of the tracks but in 'Ukraine' he is reunited with his Ultravox colleagues, Warren Cann and Chris Cross. This track was intended for an Ultravox album but was not used.
