CD ReviewsYou Can't Go Wrong With Webster 05/01/2002 (4 out of 5 stars) "This was recorded not long before his death, and it is not his strongest playing. But it is worth hearing, and owning. "My Romance," in particular, is a great performance, as is "For All We Know." There's no such thing as a bad Webster recording, but for his prime stuff, check out "King of the Tenors" (it's got the best instrumental performance I've heard of the classic "That's All"). Or try the session w/Oscar Peterson. This shouldn't be the only Ben Webster cd you own, but it's still soulful and sublime."
