The release of Quiet Revolution (Sonic Camera Records) on CD promises to introduce the album to its widest audience yet. Previously available only on vinyl (Newvelle Records, 2016), Quiet Revolution has been remixed and remastered in stunning high resolution by Ben Allison. The album features the trio of Ben Allison (bass), Steve Cardenas (acoustic guitar), and Ted Nash (tenor saxophone, clarinet) playing compositions by legendary musicians Jim Hall and Jimmy Giuffre. Three originals and a theme by film composer Alex North round out the program. Two of the tracks are released here for the first time. Quiet Revolution is intimate and highly conversational in tone a musical trialogue, where group interplay is the focus.
