"I have a ton of Christmas albums that routinely get pulled out the day after Thanksgiving. I received this album as a present from a friend and upon listening, instantly knew that it would not only be my FAVORITE holiday album, but one that I would buy for many friends as presents. Then today, I saw Mr. Winans perform "My Christmas Prayer" on Oprah's World Aids Day show. I was speechless at the end of the song. I could see the tears in Oprah's eyes as I wiped away the ones in mine. I lost my brother nine years ago to AIDS so the song along with the show had a very special meaning to me. In a time when nothing is certain anymore, we all need to listen to the words of the song. " For those that grieve,God will bring comfort. Laughter will rapture there, this is my Christmas prayer"."

Set your CD player to repeat bc U will love this CD

"It's probably best if you set your CD player to repeat, because you'll want to enjoy this album again and again. I already hope Bebe comes out with a sequel!!
This is a record DEFINITELY worth your money, and will
satisfy no matter whenever or whatever mood you are striving to achieve. All the tracks on this CD are beautiful and very calming. Essentially, you can "feel" yourself sitting in a darkened room before a crackling fire while snow falls outside. All of the songs will brighten your Christmas season. I love Bebe! He sings with so much love! You will know right away that this album was worth your time. I love this CD! It really got me in the Christmas spirit. The most Important song on the album is, My Christmas Prayer - When I heard this song I had God bumps because of the healing message it sends. This song imparts a message for everyone to hear not only at this time of year, but also the year long. This is prayer you will want to recite all year long. This song alone is reason to purchase this album! This CD is a great idea to give for gifts or
Christmas cards while you send a healing, powerful message of hope, love
and peace.If you are looking for a great Christmas album this is it. The nice thing about this is that the holiday music featured here is both religious and non-religious. On top of that, all of the songs have Bebe's own spin on them, like the rest of his music. It's quite refreshing & relaxing especially if you are trying to relax yet be in the spirit.
This is the classical Christmas music that you and your family will treasure forever. It definitely puts you in the Christmas spirit and brings to mind all the joys of the holidays past and future.
To wrap up, if I could, I would rate this 10 stars-that's how beautiful this album is. No Christmas music collection is complete without this CD-; if you only require ONE CD this is the one to get-so come on, what are you waiting for-send for it NOW! I guarantee this will get played alongside other traditional artists like Nat King Cole, Perry Como, Johnny Mathis, Bing Crosby, Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra. Enjoy! Serious Christmas Effort from Sterling Vocalist

"I must echo the sentiments of nearly everyone else who has written reviews so far about this album.BeBe's singing is both impressive from a technical standpoint (he hits those notes!) and forcefully passionate from an emotional standpoint. I've often felt him to be under-appreciated from a mass market perspective because he operates mostly within the gospel market. But he is truly one of the most soulful male vocalists of modern times.The production is lush and the songs are well-chosen. The new title track is strong, in both versions, with Rob Thomas of Matchbox 20 and with Mom Delores Winans. And I love the adaptation of George Harrison's "My Sweet Lord".If I have one quibble, it's that the pacing of this CD is a bit on the slow side. I DO like slow holiday songs best - and I'd rather have this than a bunch of 'Frosty The Snowman' renditions. But the wall-to-wall emphasis on slow songs - delivered with heavy orchestral production and intensely sung vocals - does make this CD feel extra serious. The album is beautiful and spiritual - but doesn't have much of that holiday 'fun'. Definitely makes it the ideal album for reflecting upon the meaning of the Christmas season (but not the CD I'd play for the office party with the spiked eggnog). Buy it anyway - because it IS great, as long as you understand what you are getting."

"Like grandma's hugs, chilled egg nog, the Yule log, and that uncle who drinks a little too much each year, Christmas music has served to define some of my most special memories of holidays gone by. Back in the day, we played the Nat King Cole Christmas album like it was a State requirement. For years, I just concluded that it would never be that good again, nor would I ever find a NEW Christmas "soundtrack" for my present-day celebrations.Well stop the presses and cut the fruit cake, Bebe Winans and Hidden Beach (I shoulda figured they were behind this masterpiece) have given this generation some theme music for the holidays."MY CHRISTMAS PRAYER has all of my faves, plus some new stuff ta boot. "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," "O Holy Night," and the new classic "My Christmas Prayer" are my money cuts, but I really dig the whole thing.Here's some sound advice for this holiday season -- gather with good friends and family, do something special for someone in need, promise to make 2004 the very best year of your life, and pick up this CD and play it until you know ever word. "The Winans Family have consistantly put out some of the best music I've ever bought and this one is not exception..His renditions are solid, well produced pieces of music and just the added change from the "cookie cutter" productions of Christmasses past...I especially enjoy the new "My Christmas Prayer" with Rob Thomas and mother Deloris..I recently had the opportunity to see BeBe in person and he did not disappoint then and you will not be disappointed with this purchase..I also recommend purchasing (if you haven't already) "First Christmas" where he is joined by sister CeCe and CeCe's own Christmas CD, "His Gift".."
