Not really a review but some information that might be useful to anyone who obtains discs from around this time period that were "copy-protected". The good news is they really weren't copy-protected - they just had a little extra code written into them that made it seem like they were.

I know the other review was from 7 years ago and the record labels have long since abandoned trying to copy-protect CD's to where they cannot be ripped - but I know for awhile it was a common thing. What was happening was when you inserted the discs it had a code written into it similar to how they add extra bonus cd-rom content to a disc that would bring up a program that would prevent your computer from ripping content. The trick to getting around that was a very, very simple one.

Once word got out on that little trick it was obvious that the record labels wasted a lot of time and money on this copy-protection attempt and they abandoned it rather quickly. The trick to ripping them? Hold down the shift key BEFORE inserting the disc. Insert the disc while continuing to hold down the shift key while the computer reads and identifies the disc. Once the info comes up you can let go of the shift key and should be able to rip the disc with no problem after that. I found that useful on about a dozen or so CD's over the years. I did successfully rip this Backstreet Boys disc back in the day.

"First let me say, that some of the songs are good on this CD, however, don't buy the CD version of "Never Gone." I tried to "rip" songs from the CD onto my computer, and now my entire CD skips and doesn't work. The reason why is because it has a copywrite (or however the hell its spelled) prevents you from doing so. If you dont believe me, click above where it says "1 star" for Reviews and you will see many others saying the same thing (maybe not CD getting f***ed up, but about the copywrite thing). So if I wanted to listen to the songs again, I had to buy them off of here. Good songs, but simply put, DO NOT BUY THIS CD!!!!!"
